Its been a great experience, not sure how many followers I have, but I really don't care all that much, I'm just grateful people want to even read any posts about me at all in the first place.

It’s plenty to feel connected to the rest of the world.

Maybe not primary, but definitely preferred. I am trapped in Facebook by work and keeping in touch with family.
Mastodon works well for me, it's a friendly, sensible space with lots of good interaction.

@LianaBrooks Yes, and yes. I suspect I miss things on other platforms that might be interesting. I know 100% I am missing things on other platforms that are terrible. It’s a trade off I’m happy to make. I’m over 60 years old, so most of my life I learned about current events through newspapers, community groups, and talking with family and friends.
