@exchgr regretfully, I have to acknowledge the "if" is very likely. I was dragged into using AI by my employer (I like having health insurance), but it is remarkable how far agentic AI has come in the past year or so. The current frontier models can build a tremendous range of software, with only a small amount of expert guidance. And, the more expert the guidance, the more advanced software the models can deal with.
I was a dedicated AI skeptic, until I tried agentic coding with Claude Opus.

@demofox anyways on the reversing a linked list challenge, I want to say that I asked them what the requirements would be eg context of its use and the interviewer was like :) no just come up with something impress us :) :) but I might be misremembering as that was ~10 years ago.

@demofox tbh it was good to have bombed that one because it helped me realize I should brush up on my c++ before applying for any of the jobs I actually wanted
