I've been looking at men in kilts for a big chunk of the day (for work, yes), and so couldn't think of anything else to draw for the 1st of #inktober.

every single day of #inktober I sit down at 11pm, trying to gather the rest of my energy to draw something that is good enough to be posted online. it's not particularly easy. I don't draw very often, and I feel if I don't force myself to do this, I will lose all my skills
I played Superliminal on and off throughout the day, so today's drawing is inspired by it.
Also it turned out to be a bit more tricky to draw than I thought, because, well,

I wasn't wearing my glasses -
gave a talk today at a local event, made sketches of fellow speakers

another 11+-hour work day, another teeny quick drawing right before midnight, this time of my pathfinder druid figurine

I've noticed I am drawn (hehe) to pencil sketching lately.
Haven't really touched colored pencils for years, so I'm re-learning how to use them.
Obviously, I had to start this journey by sharpening dozens of pencils of various colors and brands that I own.
8 yellow, 6 red, 6 pink, 8 blue, 10 brown, and so on (over 70 in total), and only 1 (!) purple colored pencil. #mastoart people, is this too few purples or one too many?

Sharpening pencils can be quite an experience.
Sometimes, you lose yourself in the process and get too rough, breaking the tip of the pencil and feeling like you’re snapping a head of a bourgeois.
Other times, you can be as careful as a small child, gently poking the tip of the pencil as if it were a baby tooth, checking if it's not wobbling and if it’s safe to put more pressure on it.
Either way, very satisfying and entertaining

Today's #inktober drawing is a little different.
I made it during out #Pathfinder game, when our DM asked me to draw a
"circular seal made of glowing mist and light, formed by three slowly rotating rings: an outer spiral of wind-like lines that fade into vapor, a middle ring of softly glowing runes (ᚺᛚᛁᚦ ᚨ ᛊᛏᛟᚱᛗᛁᚾ) spaced evenly around it, and an inner circle where the surface dips into a shallow bowl of light with faint lightning veins beneath."

@karafuto I got kind of distracted by the pack of cards there in the upper left, do you use it as a random number generator too or does it have other uses in this campaign?
