    I think the wrapping in <p> is just plain good practice because otherwise rendered content could be injected somewhere resulting in invalid HTML. Not that browsers ever reject bad HTML anyway heh</p>

    WƤre es nicht super, wenn man sich mit seiĀ­nem MastĀ­oĀ­don-Account einĀ­fach fĆ¼r eine VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tung anmelĀ­den kƶnnĀ­te ā€“ so wie das frĆ¼Ā­her bei FaceĀ­book mƶgĀ­lich war? DerĀ­zeit geht das noch nicht. Aber es gibt ein paar hoffĀ­nungsĀ­volĀ­le AnzeiĀ­chen, dass sich das Ƥndern kƶnnte.Ich habe es im letzĀ­ten ArtiĀ­kel angeĀ­teasert: In der SprechĀ­stunĀ­de hat AndrĆ© MenĀ­rath (@linos) ein paar interĀ­esĀ­sanĀ­te DinĀ­ge erzƤhlt und wir haben uns Ć¼ber die geneĀ­relĀ­le SituaĀ­tiĀ­on von VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen bei WordĀ­Press und im FediĀ­verĀ­se unterhalten.Ā Bei PlugĀ­ins fĆ¼r VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tungs-KalenĀ­der bin ich wirkĀ­lich kriĀ­tisch. Ich habe damals das EinĀ­gaĀ­beĀ­forĀ­muĀ­lar fĆ¼r den VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tungsĀ­kaĀ­lenĀ­der bei kiel4kiel.de entĀ­wiĀ­ckelt. Wenn man jeden Monat 1000 TerĀ­miĀ­ne einĀ­geĀ­ben will, sieht man zu, dass man da keiĀ­nen einĀ­ziĀ­gen Klick zu viel macht, weil das immer x1000Ā geht.Ich habe noch kein ForĀ­muĀ­lar fĆ¼r VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen geseĀ­hen, das so prakĀ­tisch war, wie unser User-InterĀ­face damals. Das fƤngt damit an, dass VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen NIE um 00:00 Uhr anfanĀ­gen. Die ZeitĀ­ausĀ­wahl steht aber bei jeder SoftĀ­ware auf 00:00 und dieĀ­ser StanĀ­dardĀ­wert lƤsst sich nicht konfigurieren.Events bei WordPressIch bin der MeiĀ­nung, dass es kein einĀ­ziĀ­ges gutes Event-PlugĀ­in fĆ¼r WordĀ­Press gibt. Auch kein komĀ­merĀ­ziĀ­elĀ­les. Ich kenĀ­ne keiĀ­nes. Die meisĀ­ten sind mit FeaĀ­tures total Ć¼berĀ­laĀ­den, die dafĆ¼r auch noch schlecht zu bedieĀ­nen sind. Dazu kommt, dass alle KalenĀ­der scheiĀ­ĆŸe ausĀ­seĀ­hen und man sie nicht anpasĀ­sen kann ā€“ selbst wenn sie sich ein eigeĀ­nes TemĀ­pĀ­laĀ­te-SysĀ­tem Ć¼berĀ­legtĀ haben.Beim WebĀ­MonĀ­tag brauĀ­che ich ein einĀ­faĀ­ches PlugĀ­in bei dem man Datum und UhrĀ­zeit und eine AdresĀ­se einĀ­gibt. AuƟerĀ­dem soll man sich an- und abmelĀ­den kƶnĀ­nen. Ich habe das vor lanĀ­ger Zeit Ć¼ber einen CusĀ­tom-Post-Type erleĀ­digt, den ich um Datum und LocaĀ­tiĀ­on erweiĀ­tertĀ habe.Ā AuƟerĀ­dem habe ich die KomĀ­menĀ­tarĀ­funkĀ­tiĀ­on dort so ā€žgehacktā€œ, dass das TextĀ­feld ausĀ­geĀ­blenĀ­det wird. So melĀ­det man sich an, indem man einen KomĀ­menĀ­tar ohne Text abgibt. DesĀ­weĀ­gen bekommt man auch keiĀ­ne BenachĀ­richĀ­tiĀ­gung und man kann sich auch darĀ­Ć¼ber nicht abmelden.Ā Das funkĀ­tioĀ­niert. Aber ich hƤtĀ­te trotzĀ­dem eine etwas komĀ­forĀ­taĀ­bleĀ­re Lƶsung. Bei GatherĀ­Press arbeiĀ­ten wohl geraĀ­de einiĀ­ge motiĀ­vierĀ­te EntĀ­wickĀ­ler an einem neuĀ­en PlugĀ­in fĆ¼r Events. Das sieht auf den ersĀ­ten Blick sehr aufĀ­geĀ­rƤumt aus und scheint sich an den moderĀ­nen ParaĀ­digĀ­men der WordĀ­Press-EntĀ­wickĀ­lung zu orientieren.Events im FediverseAuch im FediĀ­verĀ­se gibt es VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen. MobiĀ­liĀ­zon ist eine Lƶsung dafĆ¼r. Auf so einer Instanz gibt es dann nur VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen. Ich kenĀ­ne mich damit nicht so gut aus. Aber super wƤre es natĆ¼rĀ­lich, wenn ich einem Account bei MobiĀ­liĀ­zon bspw. von MastĀ­oĀ­don aus folĀ­gen kƶnnĀ­te und wenn mir dann eine VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tung durch die TimeĀ­line lƤuft, kliĀ­cke ich auf ā€žteilĀ­nehĀ­menā€œ und bin angeĀ­melĀ­det. Das geht aber noch nicht. Es gibt aber wohl ƜberĀ­leĀ­gunĀ­gen bei MastĀ­oĀ­don, VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen besĀ­ser zu unterĀ­stĆ¼tĀ­zen. FriĀ­enĀ­diĀ­ca, HubĀ­zilĀ­la und PleĀ­roĀ­ma kƶnĀ­nen das schon ā€“ zuminĀ­dest teilweise.Auf der SeiĀ­te von WordĀ­Press arbeiĀ­ten AndĀ­re MenĀ­rath und MatĀ­thiĀ­as PfefĀ­ferĀ­le (@pfefferle) an einer Bridge fĆ¼r die bestehenĀ­den Event-PlugĀ­ins ins Fediverse.DieĀ­se TheĀ­ma ist leiĀ­der noch nicht ganz so konĀ­kret wie die grundĀ­sƤtzĀ­liĀ­che UnterĀ­stĆ¼tĀ­zung fĆ¼r ArtiĀ­kel von WordĀ­Press in MastĀ­oĀ­don. Es sind einiĀ­ge PuzĀ­zleĀ­teiĀ­le, die ein interĀ­esĀ­sanĀ­tes Bild verĀ­spreĀ­chen, wenn sie jemand klug zusammensetzt.Ā Ich fƤnd es cool, wenn ich eine Lƶsung hƤtĀ­te bei der MenĀ­schen den VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tunĀ­gen des WebĀ­MonĀ­tags bspw. auf MastĀ­oĀ­don folĀ­gen und sich anmelĀ­den kƶnnĀ­ten. ZusƤtzĀ­lich wƤre es aber natĆ¼rĀ­lich nƶtig, dass man sich auch weiĀ­terĀ­hin unkomĀ­pliĀ­ziert ohne Account anmelĀ­den kƶnnĀ­te. Ein TerĀ­min-PlugĀ­in, bei dem ich eine StanĀ­dard-StartĀ­zeit einĀ­stelĀ­len kann, weil der WebĀ­MonĀ­tag immer ab 19 Uhr seiĀ­ne TĆ¼r ƶffĀ­net; einen StanĀ­dard-VerĀ­anĀ­stalĀ­tungsĀ­ort, weil wir meisĀ­tens in der StarĀ­terĀ­kitĀ­chen sind. Eine ƶffentĀ­lich einĀ­sehĀ­baĀ­re TeilĀ­nahĀ­meĀ­lisĀ­te, aus der sich LeuĀ­te auch auf Wunsch ausĀ­blenĀ­den kƶnĀ­nen und die sich nach ein paar MonaĀ­ten von alleiĀ­ne lƶscht und nur die zusamĀ­men gerechĀ­neĀ­te Zahl der AnmelĀ­dunĀ­gen behƤlt.DarĀ­auf muss ich wohl noch ein wenig warĀ­ten. Aber VorĀ­freuĀ­de ist ja auch etwas Schƶnes.

And until fairly recently, it wasnā€™t technically feasible to change the handle without potentially wreaking havocā€¦ or so we thought!Our new fediverse handle is @nham, and while we thought weā€™d be able to change handle and port our followers over, sadly that has not been the case.So we now need you to follow our new handle!And if you havenā€™t yet followed us on fedi, this is the perfect time to do so!Goodbye @mixtape.
