I don't post photos of my students online so I'll describe it to you instead.
It's after "The Ant Show" and all of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th graders have bunched up around the table to ask questions. They are peering into the formicarium looking for the queen. And it's one of my favorite photos now.
I hope when they see an ant, or another small living thing here in this big city where people sometimes think nature doesn't exist they will look a little closer.
It's a happy teaching moment.
