or maybe burn it? i think burning would be good. secret agent shit. i am hiding the secrets from the KGB. that isn't even a joke is it like these devices as far as our usage is concerned do literally exist to hide secrets from the KGB or closely related organizations.

apparently the official answer is unenroll it and drop it at the nearest place that does small electronics recycling
free personal use yubikey for anyone who doesn't need the newest generation model due to "well funded state actors" being part of the threat model

@aeva if you think about it, the only well funded state actor is actually arnold schwarzenegger and richard nixon before him
(volodymyr zelensky is a state actor, but hardly well funded)

@trwnh there's also the Gemtext convention of NOT putting links in text, but after the paragraph (although arguably that's cheating) and the AsciiDoc approach of just putting the link (only works with known protocols though). AsciiDoc actually does something interesting: it will recognize <>-wrapped URIs too and strip the <> in that case.

@matz eh a mio padre hanno detto di fare l'accettazione. Entri c'è il totem e lo sportello. Peccato che girata l'accettazione c'è un altro totem e basta inserire la tessera sanitaria. Praticamente devi andare in esplorazione dei locali due giorni prima, tipo ladro che studia il colpo🤣
