It's really frustrated the clock alarm in Android has switched from the snooze/wake slider to a button. This is a piece of UI by design I'm fumbling for an object while laying down, tapping a button precisely is very difficult. If I switch out Google for something on fdroid can I get the slider back? Is there an easy way to just downgrade Google apps? The only reason to run up to date apps is security but a clock app probably is unlikely to get vulns.

@mcc it's great how technology artifacts get worse over time, not for any intrinsic reason but because the makers keep changing it out from under you without warning or notification

@mcc They also made the Stopwatch functionality much worse. For a while after the change you had to scroll down to see the Lap/Reset button. Now lap times are scrolled horizontally and so only three are visible at any time and are difficult to compare.
It used to look like the current Timer, which is so huge you can't view more than one timer at a time and have to scroll them.
I'm shocked at how little usability is considered. Button vs slider might be an accessibility thing, but I doubt it.
