you want your leadership to be unromantic about the dollars and cents of the enterprise, romance will take you right off the cliff - making cuts so that 80% of the team keep their jobs instead of 100% of the team losing their livelihood

a professional ceo is also much less likely to tolerate bad behavior from 'rockstar' talent
