@cstross I hate this framework. It's the reverse of "if some is good, more is always better". He keeps using the verb "dwell", the maximalist pejorative form of introspection. He's positing "if too much is very bad then a little must also be bad".
But it's just bad business. If you've made a move that was negative or sub-optimal, you figure out what went wrong so you can fix it in the next similar situation.

@cstross funny how his go to example is "build Walmart", a company that famously relies on the state to feed their employers while crowding out all competition. Of course, he doesn't find it funny at all, that would require some introspection.
