@mcc I don't know that I precisely know what it means in the technical sense (I have a rough idea but might not be correct), but I am at least reasonably confident that you are talking about something in a graphics pipeline.

@xgranade @mcc Yeah I haven't thought about this stuff much in decades but based on usage long ago I would assume it's just a sample point/value in a texture, same thing as pixel but in the context of textures.

@Kiloku refers to a pixel within a texture. To avoid confusion since they can get stretched across a lot of pixels during display. Also technically they might sometimes not look like much like pixels (cf foveated rendering)
