Kinda lucky it works out with barely any wait. The timetable on the Tuscan side has room for improvement.
At least up here in the north, the west side of Apennine is steep requiring all the engineering while the east side rises more gradually. So, the first hour up from Pistoia to Porretta Terma is quite spectacular while the second part is a fairly normal mountain railway.

Bologna has not just a binario 1 tronco, it has loads on both sides, so there are Piazzale Ouest and Piazzale Est. If your train starts from the latter, you get a free workout. It is far, far away, past the big bridge in the picture and then some more.

Because I am not paying for any reservations until we’ve reached the end of Puglia – did I mention that rule yet? – I’m not going to do the third line which is only used by high-speed trains. Also, it is mostly tunnels and a bit boring.

L'Italia ha bisogno di infermieri. Ma spende 35 milioni l'anno per i "preti in corsia": pagati con lo stipendio da infermiere, circolano tra i ricoverati come fossero personale sanitario.
Non potrebbero essere pagati dai fedeli ed entrare in orario di visita prendendo appuntamento con chi chiede un incontro?
E lo Stato impiegare le risorse pubbliche solo per supporto psicologico, non religioso.

I've just found this about trades in middle age which is somehow amusing.
You know about Dante and you probably also know he fell in love with Beatrice Portinari (whose father was a banker).
That girl got married to Simone De' Bardi who was a member of one of the richest family in Florence. They ran a trade company with branches all over Europe, in Africa and Asia too.
We're here around 1300 (not sure the exact week 😁) but that company was probably founded some time before. This also adds to the idea that trades were quite developed in the middle age too.

That is a little odd, and I'd think that is a violation of the implicit addressing conventions...
If as:Public is not addressed, it is not public. End of story...
