I had the dreaded mammogram. I heard so many nightmare stories about how uncomfortable/painful it can be. I guess I got lucky with a good technician. It was quick and painless.

@dillyd so glad it went well and that most of the women replying here also had good experiences. Mine was excruciating but I suffered from breast pain for years. It was made worse because they detected something in a hard-to-scan place. (Negative biopsy, all good).
Still, I'll always attend my screenings - I'll just know to take strong painkillers before next time

@mandy ugh sorry to hear it's painful for you! Good choice to go through it anyway. I guess a few moments of pain is much better than letting something go undetected.
