@andypiper you can pair it with a bluetooth parachute to activate it automagically in case you faint during the jump 🙂

@andypiper I got one for my mum. She never triggered the fall detection (fortunately). She found the manual emergency triggering too difficult though. You have to press the small side button five times quickly and she couldn't manage that consistently. We're ended up doing for the clunky subscription pendant from Age Concern.

@andypiper No direct experience with Pixel Watch, but my elderly mother got a Samsung Watch partly for this reason.
She's managed to trigger it accidentally when she overenthusiastically clapped too hard at her favourite football team scoring a goal.
She also managed to trigger the fall alert one time when she took her watch off and threw it on the bed.
So my advice would be to make sure she knows how to dismiss the alarm before the ambulance is dispatched.
Because there's likely to be false positives. -
