Zack Polanski on the Green wave:
'For a long time, voters have enthusiastically backed the Green party’s policies – but have often stopped short of supporting us at the ballot box, afraid to “waste” their vote. We saw that change in Gorton and Denton – and that result unlocked a new level of confidence for potential Green voters that they can truly vote for what they want and get it'!
Polanski is banking on momentum in the local elections - I hope he's right!

https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/mar/07/predict-green-party-wave-zack-polanski-local-elections-byelection-winThere hasn't been a left wing party in power in England for decades (since before Tony Blair, who certainly wasn't a lefty). Corbyn tried but failed. The Green Party is the breath of fresh air with the best chance to clear away the stuffy malaise that pushed all other parties into the one-upping downward spiral of right-wing extremist policies that delivered the present predicament.

Yup, which is why its important that people get behind them - what seems impossible can suddenly flip to seeming inevitable!

"At the start of the campaign, I said it would be a battle between Reform’s big money and our people power."That's exactly what it is. And more than that too; hope vs hate, as they say. This is a pivotal moment and the choice of our times. To move forward with the hope of the people or to court more of the same, but much worse, with continued enslavement to big money, ignorance and hate.
