@phnt Thanks! I did know about this - however, they disallow fetching nodeinfo via robots.txt if the instance is configured to make up stats - and allow it if the instance is returning real stats:
My bot does obey robots.txt so it should avoid fetching nodeinfo if it's configured to lie.
The specific code linked above landed about 10 months ago:

This should be in versions 0.18 and later. It's *possible* the behavior is older than that, but I'd need to learn their codebase well enough to dig back in the history....
