I had a sudden thought.

I had a sudden thought. I have M2 : PCIe adaptors for my NVMe devices.
Is there a M2 : SATA adaptor so I can mount the same devices in a drive cage?
I ask because I have only one PCIe slot left and two NVMe PCIe devices.
For this Dell R730.
And so far, my searching indicates I can't do it. The PCIe device has to go into a PCIe slot or adaptor. I can't find such an adaptor so far.
Perhaps I'll have to dump my fiber card and use 10G over an ethernet cable.

@dvl R730xd has a nvme u.2 backplane converter kit, not sure if this also fits the R730 (non xd) chassis.
> Dell P31H2 NVME SSD PCIe Extended Controller and cables, adds u.2 support to the last 4 drive slots
Alternately, use a dual or quad m.2 to pcie slot adapter.
