I think I need to learn Godot or something for the prototyping phase. Even if I end up writing the whole game twice, iterating on gameplay ideas in 6502 assembly does not seem at all like a more efficient use of time. I was so excited to get something running in VICE but now I'm overwhelmed enough by the high level concepts (proc gen maps and the dual grid stuff at the moment) that trying to think it through at a super low level just isn't working.

The reason this happened in a nutshell is The Internet. We got a blend. And that's OK. Language can evolve. It should evolve.
BUT IT'S FUCKING "IMPOSTOR" FOR THE RECORD. And yes, I will die on this hill because who wants to live forever, anyway, unless you're Peter Theil.. and and you see where that goes. Blood boys.

I remember when Bill Clinton was sworn in. The excitement was palpable. Everything was going to change: everyone would have healthcare; unions would raise the standard of living; we could all go back to one wage earner per family and care for our own children at home.
I remember the let-down, too. Nothing changed. Nothing.
I think if the Jasmine Crockett's get the wheel, we would see real change.
That's where I hope we are headed.
