@cmccullough It is so hard to let go of something that once mattered. I am sorry that it has come to this. Regardless of how long the writing has been on the wall, or how many unacceptable decisions have been made along the way, it still hurts.

@cmccullough Crap. Disappointed to hear. They blew their reputation as the safety option.

@cmccullough I wish I had answers. I hopped on the Waterfox life raft in the meantime, but I want to be on something that is entirely decoupled from a Mozilla upstream and I refuse to use something that has a Google upstream.
Past experiences of how values and decision making shapes a project make me wary of Ladybird, and I don't know when a browser using Servo might work with my bank's website, etc.

Didn't happen on my system when upgrading from 148.0 to 148.0.2 - might be a legit bug happening under whatever circumstance instead of intention? -

I stopped using Firefox sometime ago, and at that point, it was already just the corpse of a project I once loved (specifics of individual concerns don't seem to matter at this point).

I installed the newest Firefox version on my two Linux laps. That version has "AI Controls" in the settings so that you can shut off "all enhancements."
I hope it works as advertised.
Because I'm still waiting for a new Firefox version for Android that has AI Controls in settings; I can't turn "Nimrod" (sic) off with about:config anymore cause the location bar won't load it.
Nightly might have it. -

And how much is Mitchell Baker making these days? Are her replacements banking similar roll? -
@cmccullough This is so disappointing. I was hopeful, too, in spite of Mozilla's numerous bad moves over the past couple of years. I use a privacy-hardened script, but it's to the point that I'm inclined to go back to LibreWolf as my main browser. It's just sad to see the descent of Firefox (Mozilla).

@cmccullough @Cheeseness
