Ieri Carofiglio da Augias diceva che i momenti difficili fanno bene perché servono a sviluppare gli anticorpi, a risvegliare le coscienze assopite. Un po’ come nella vita, non va mai sempre tutto bene, ci sono alti e bassi, ci sono le malattie, che appunto fanno crescere gli anticorpi.
Il paragone è calzante, solo che esistono anche casi di malattie degenerative. Avendone una certa esperienza, non vorrei sia questo il caso.

It's a wrap for FediForum Day 1. We had an amazing keynote, which we will publish to PeerTube and YouTube as soon as we can, and ~15 unconference sessions from the very technical to public policy, from the needs of communities to those of media and academia and more.

@MajDen ho sentito il messaggio di un amico imbarcato su una delle barche, tornato da poco. Ha raccontato il "trattamento" ricevuto da quegli esseri infami nella caserma di polizia, dove sono stati lasciati in ginocchio e con il capo quasi a toccare terra per quattro ore. Chi ha azzardato un movimento, anche solo per spasmo, è stato picchiato. Gli hanno buttato via anche le medicine di cui aveva bisogno.
È stata una fortuna non imbarcarmi, avrei rischiato di farmi sparare.

@stefano Had this happen years ago, when I recommended a change to a setting in an app that I’d been using for 25 years and consulting for nearly 20 at that point.
Asked them to explain it, and they spent 20 minutes at a whiteboard full of lines and boxes and disks and databases.
I opened up the documentation, and shared on the projector the three paragraphs that clearly explained the three options.
The team decided to implement my recommendation based on the documentation, and no apology was ever given for this individual wasting everyone’s time.
Thankfully the individual was moved to a different department shortly after that.
