I want to have an app, that helps me to lent and borrow private printed #books.
So I want to add all my books, then my friends do the same. And through the app we can see who owns what #book, arrange and track who has borrowed my books.I found gohardcover.com/en that promises to do that, but does not work well for me.
Does anyone has an idea?

@arturN personally I would just build it as a Notion database.
I've put my DVDs and my housemates into one so we can filter by genre and see who owns what.
It'd be super easy to just set up a shared database with your friends and all add your books.

I just rewatched the #Watchmen #tvseries by HBO, from 2019 or something.
It's such an incredible show. The story is good, the actors are good, the OST is fantastic, the transitions are clever, the continuous inner references are clever.
There's a bit of forced narrative which isn't really explained away well, but I can only recommend it.
It's great they did only one season.

@cstross People need a certain amount of reliably-present cognitive armamentarium to keep planes in the air safely, and it's not clear this is still generally available what with repeated SARS infections. (It's also clear in many domains that people are most concerned with being _caught_ not thinking effectively, rather than about broader consequences.)
So Boeing, who was already ripping up any and all do-the-right-thing process, is the canary, not necessarily the uniquely bad example.
