The cruelty is the point.

@raganwald @pluralistic You know, I watch a lot of movies - I watched almost 300 movies last year. I also watch a lot of bad movies for fun. I went to a screening of Cats and I enjoyed myself - there were impromptu audience โburlesqueโ performances to the music.
I think that would be the only scenario where I could see myself watching this movie - an underground cinema with an audience that is there to mock it.
It needs a double feature with something very anti-fascist like IngloriousBasterds
@raganwald @pluralistic Or, free rotten tomatoes shall be distributed to the audience to celebrate the movie ๐

@raganwald Do I understand this correctly, you will be paid to watch this movie in its entirety?

What are you gonna do? Charge me with standing up?

@raganwald Are you allowed to snore?
-
What are you gonna do? Charge me with standing up?
@RVLara23 @raganwald No, you won't get the promised $50. OTOH, this is kind of a Trumpish promise, so don't expect the $50 anyway.

@raganwald I predict a vast number of empty seats at many theaters when they show this film.

The cruelty is the point.
'Don't the flyer have some pretty specific things to say about leaving your seat during the screening?'
'Quite specific. It it, however, somewhat fuzzier around the subject of holding up big posters with ad hoc slogans on both sides.'

@raganwald a nice dark room, a comfy chair, no loud explosions. Sounds like being paid to have a nap.
-
@raganwald Do I understand this correctly, you will be paid to watch this movie in its entirety?
I think it's more "paid to attend" this movie. They can't make you watch it.
Bring a book. Better yet a boombox from last century.

@raganwald
does free + 50 bucks mean that they pay you for that? and just 50$? -
The cruelty is the point.
@raganwald at the end of the film youโre handed a $50 QR code for a Trump Bible (cost $100 + $50 shipping and handling - please allow infinite time for delivery)
-
The cruelty is the point.
@raganwald Are these free tickets $50 or is that what you get paid to watch?
I don't get it.
