#doorsday A few months ago I photographed this very nice door in Delft. The sign next to the door reads: This late Gothic house is the oldest stone-built house in Delft. It was commissioned to be build by the bailiff and dike reeve, Jan de Huyter in 1505. The coat of arms above the entrance date back to 1652 and were designed by Pietr Post, a Dutch Golden Age architect and painter. The Delfland waterauthority has been based in this building since 1645. The waterauthorities are the oldest government institutions in the Netherlands (founded in 1289). They are responsible for flood protection, good water quality, surface waterlevel management and sewage treatment.

@Kleinloog The expression "I'm number one in humility!" is an example of irony, because claiming to be "number one" in something, especially humility, is inherently contradictory and denies the true definition of humility. Those who so emphatically declare themselves humble often actually demonstrate a lack of humility, since humility involves acknowledging one's limitations and not boasting about one's virtues.
