Would be crazy, if you could only send/receive emails from the same provider as you're using. Especially, since many HEI have their own email infrastructure.

I don't get it, either, especially with all the social manipulation that everyone knows the centralized platforms do. It's mind-boggling to me that most people are just fine with it or think that they can somehow "win" against the censors.
No, you can't. It isn't a battlefield that one side can theoretically conquer and dominate. They have the "delete" button, you don't. End of story. Stop with the denial and just switch already.

So I just logged on YouTube Studio for the first time in months to see what's going on... and found some interesting comments.
I'm not caffeinated enough to deliver zingers but I hope my response was adequate.
On the upside, I also saw a few comments of people who set up new accounts here, so yay.
As for the unplayable problem: no clue. But this is why I LOVE #PeerTube and on my website I'm using the PeerTube embed

That's what qe thought about email, too. Then Googleand MS started offering free email with added other freebies and now 80% of email goes through their servers. Running your own is a very difficult task these days as most peopletou want to mail to are on one ofthose services and they jave lots of additional hoops to jump through before they deign to accept -

@mhoye and simultaneously firms 'embracing ai' for 'increased productivity' are laying people off and then making those who remain 'accountabiliy sinks' for everything the automated system they imposed screws up... It's the worst of both worlds.
