@leo it does involve x11 forwarding (since it is rendered on windows 7) but those windows are launched and managed by gnome. even paperwm works!

@49016@catgirl.cloud if/when the windows virtio-gpu driver is ever upstream a thing ive wanted to do for a while is kind of the inverse of this. proxy windows to the host wayland with gpu acceleration the same as a linux guest would have

tl;dr of how this clusterfuck works: this is effectively just x11 forwarding an x server from windows to linux. the fun part is a) making gnome run with an already existing window manager (namely dwm.exe lol), b) making gnome run over x11 forwarding (it is Not a fan, last time it tried running gnome on windows this is what broke it and made it quit trying), and c) actually ripping out parts of the gnome compositor again to make dwm instead of gnome render window decorations to achieve ✨aero gnome✨

@49016 did this one ever tell of the kernel developer it knows who searched for a window manager for Linux and then found windows 11 (or was it 10?). He wrote some custom driver and all to make it fast. Sadly never got him to write a blog post about that project

A party cannot win power when it does not reflect the priorities of the majority of its supporters. Democratic leaders must have a plan for Israel and Palestine that treats Palestinians as human beings with rights, and Israel as a country governed by international law. If we screw this up, we only have ourselves to blame.

Before, you were seeing the same topics (more or less, I think the logic changed a little bit) but in a "topic list" style — like you were navigating into just another category.
While that worked fine, the vast majority of content was microblog content that did not come with a title, so one needed to be generated.
A topic listing with many many long titles (some of which don't function well as titles) does not a good topic list make 🙂
