I got an idea! I decided to make a CAPE with the Fediverse Symbol for #39C3
Of course I got the idea SUPER LATE, I am leaving tomorrow morning at 7:00 from Sanremo.
Here is how it happened.
13:00. We were having the Christmas lunch with the whole family at my grandma’s and I was telling my cousins how INCREDIBLE Congress is, and how people go around dressed with the most insane things.
I started brewing the idea of something to make and wear myself over the afternoon, while napping at my parents’.
17:47. I call grandma D, the most expert sewer of the family.
“NONNAAA I WANNA MAKE A CAPE! Do you have any big pieces of fabric?” “No… I only have bedsheets…”
I call Nonna Gorix, who proudly calls herself my “trovarobe” (literally “things-finder”). I ask her the same thing. She tells me to come over, and we start looking in her stuff, as you see here:
