Could you all help me brainstorm something?
Do you think there would be any use for a Federated location sharing app? Something that would let you mark an annotate locations in the world to share places of interest with your friends or to publicize things that are happening.
We could make a distributed, location-based search engine that pulls up all of the annotations within some radius.
Yes? No? Iโd love to hear if this community thinks it would be valuable.

Look, a Community Fund local to me is so desperate to find something to reconnect the online to the 3-D world again that theyโve been totally suckered by an โAIโ startup that is just slapping more lipstick on chatGPT so it can a) lie to users about where to find their friends then b) deceive the users (โtell me more about the vibe you like โฆโ) into coming up with their own data for it. FIX THIS!

Iโm still getting caught up from my trip this past week, and part of that will be reading through all of the ideas that are coming together on location.
