@phastidio per i super computer non statali, l'italia è al secondo posto globale, con l'HPC di ENI https://top500.org/lists/top500/2025/11/ la potenza di calcolo legata all'AI è una cosa diversa, poi ci son centinaia di datacenter interi dedicati all'inferenza con chip ASICs che possono fare solo quello per cui sono progettati, quindi sono molto limitati "geopoliticamente".

@giuliomagnifico La statistica che ho citato riguarda la potenza di cluster di GPU, quindi parliamo specificamente di AI.

@cwebber Saaaaame. I'll let you know if I get anywhere on that - I think before I can daily drive it I need to find a good way to use bits of a community config for the hardware-specific stuff rather than trying to bundle it all into my own config. Gotta share the load somehow!

All of these statements are equivalent messaging:
"If she had just moved her car when told to the first time she would still be alive"
"If he hadn't had a gun on him he'd still be alive"
"If you comply with the authorities then you will not die"
"COMPLY OR DIE"
If you, or people you know, have lived through and resisted a repressive regime, you probably recognise what has been happening in Minnesota, and know the above to be true.
To set things right in America COMPLIANCE IS NOT AN OPTION. The messaging above is the part of the fascist playbook to suppress dissent.
It is also a LIE. If you aren't part of the in-group you may still die even if you comply.
The US is beyond the point where passive protests are sufficient. Citizens MUST continue to obstruct federal authorities and must ramp up the resistance (violence of course being the last resort and strictly used in defence).
You WILL be blamed for escalation, but they are already escalating, and blaming.
