Hello Fediverse! ⚓
I joined Mastodon because I miss the "old internet" feel where you could actually get to know someone through a long-form exchange. I’m a fan of details, technical specs, and hearing about people's lives from different corners of the globe.
Give me a follow if you like ocean views, boat talk, or just want a pen pal who actually writes back.

What do you mean by "old Internet"? Because for some people is 10 years ago, for me is the beginning of '90es 😁

Mah infatti, non so perché si finisce sempre in un comizio in cerca di proseliti o nuovi adepti per la causa... "dannati mangia cadaveri" dicono loro, come se a differenza di un animale essere vivente, una pianta non lo fosse, quindi secondo la loro contorta visione, la pianta non soffre, non muore, ecc quindi è etico consumarla..🤦

Hello Fedi friends, how's your #DiDay going?
I was going to configure CryptPad on my second YunoHost VPS but gave up because of complicated DNS settings / additional SSL certs and the requirement to tweak things in the background... too complicated for this newbie, sigh. Plus I already have document editing in NextCloud.
So I opted instead for a new installation: #AppFlowy, an open source alternative to #Notion.
AppFlowy's description mentions integration with AI - #OpenAI especially - but it's not mandatory. The setup instructions say that if you don't want to use it, you can enter a random string... so I ended up writing a very long IDetestOpenAIblahblahblah sort of thing and YunoHost is currently doing its magic, installing the app on my server.
I'll let you know how it goes!
