@lisyarus Neat hack from the 90s: you can just use 4-8 bitmaps that don't rotate. Nobody will notice. When you get close enough to swap to a mesh, rotate the mesh to match the bitmap!

eee my copy of ｢The Astronomical Almanac 2025｣ arrived in the mail today while I was at work :D my hell spine hurts too much to be fussing with it tonight, but from flipping through it, it looks like it explains most of the information I've been missing and provides ample data to validate against <3

@evan Yeah, this sort of thing seems to get lost in technical discussions comparing different social platforms.
Joining a social platform is like arriving at a party. If you are busy wondering if you are doing it right you are not going to be feeling very social, at least for the first bit. And if you didn't think to remember which door you passed through to enter the party because you are used to just entering through the front door, well, that first impression may be your only impression.
