@julienw because Mozilla purchased Pocket and then killed it … they also had a Fediverse instance that they killed, and keep putting AI features in their products, so they are not really appreciated over here 🥲 I personally moved over to Vivaldi…

There's a real possibility of this failing and backfiring:
- The military top brass clearly isn't *happy* about it
- They've overplayed their hand recently, see KimmelBut if we don't talk about it, if there isn't resistance, they're going to get everything. That's the track we're on. They're capturing everything left.
Every alarm should be going off right now. This is serious shit.

Trying to imagine if we took half the amount of money and resources being wasted on AI and used that money/resources exclusively to research the top ten diseases.

The good news is that if there's pushback, they are pushing way too hard here, they are *massively* overplaying their hands.
However, I'm not sure I am seeing the pushback we should be seeing to stop this.
And a lot of that is that people just aren't hearing about how bad things are. Information isn't getting it out there, because they've so successfully captured media.

Right now Trump and company are effectively trying to pull a complete grab of power. They've already got so much, but now they're trying to gain complete control over a military and make it white and male, and turning it inward against US residents.
They're also hoping to use this shutdown to take control of other federal departments by purging them of left-leaning staff.
They're trying to grab total dictatorship.
Is there room for hope? Well..
