My immediate reaction was "that's clearly not in Western Australia!".

That's because W.A. people routinely like their coffee too hot to hold without a handle. No-one seems to know why (and I'm originally from there).

I now live in Melbourne where coffee is delivered at ready to drink temperature. But in Perth, coffee must be nursed for a while to avoid burnt lips.

@geraldew oh best believe I burned my fingers while holding this stupid reusable cup full of microplastics. Also, valid comment, considering Australia has the best coffee culture in the world.
