@georgetakei... Isn't this what they give to soldiers before sending them on a mission they're unlikely to survive? You know, like what we give a dog about to be put down?
This war's just getting started and they fucking know, but they're lying and saying it's gonna be quick.

@georgetakei maybe that was some boondoggle but there are a few ways that the DoD could spend like that which i think people can understand, 1) the DoD operates a global grocery chain in the commissary, which provides subsidized food for service members amd their families, so a better comparison would be to Kroger or another grocery, and 2) they try to serve more premium food to service members who are on deployment, esp in the Navy, and moreso depending on how difficult the assignment is, eg submarimes. Unless they can show this was for the civilian leadership skimming id be skeptical of the headline alone

@GGMcBG @georgetakei i mean, yes?! The job can suck, the pay sucks, the least we can do is keep people well fed.

Ha.
No.
Arguing soldiers, who CHOOSE to do that job, require lobster, crab and prime steaks to show-up to work, isn't anywhere I want to go further discussing. Unless EVERYONE gets lobster, steak and a fruit cup with more peaches than pear chunks, for showing up to their job.If they weren't eating well before, they could quit and sell the loyalty of their stomach to Starbuck's. Or, you know, fight for it.

@georgetakei
Let them eat lobster. -
I was told the GOP cares about fraud, waste and abuse.
@georgetakei is it really billions? Do I understand that right? For one person? In one month?
-
I was told the GOP cares about fraud, waste and abuse.
@georgetakei Well, the #GOP says that, and the GOP lies ๐

@georgetakei They are the total opposite when they can scoop up the money, perks and power
-
I was told the GOP cares about fraud, waste and abuse.
@georgetakei Of course the GOP cares about Fraud, Waste and Abuse!
But they mostly care if someone else gets to have all the fun.

@raven667 @georgetakei nope, fuck the lot of them and in that order. Fuck the subs that hide and let the others die, fuck the navy way offshore thats hard to target, fuck the special forces that hit and run, but the most of all is fuck the rich that send the poor of all aspects to die so they can make more money. None of this makes normal people in America ( or anywhere else) more safe.

How times have changed. When I was in;
Deployment meals, C-rats in a can. Heated in a garbage can, if you got it hot
Commissary food was marked "For Military Use Only" (not because of it's high quality)
The Navy has always had the best food.
The food listed in Hegseth's list was for "Officers Only."
Family Members were a distraction owned by the troops. Troop was responsible not military.

You know what I never expected? Anything.

@georgetakei oh, they care about fraud, waste, and abuse. They care very much that they get to continue to commit fraud, waste American tax dollars, and abuse their positions for personal gain.
-
I was told the GOP cares about fraud, waste and abuse.
@georgetakei @benroyce No no you got it wrong. The GOP _is_ fraud, waste and abuse.
-
I was told the GOP cares about fraud, waste and abuse.
@georgetakei was always a lie.

@georgetakei It's pretty disturbing that so few people can start all of this, I don't think anywhere near a majority of people in the country would want this. We need a whole new way to govern if this is possible.
