Mi hanno portato un gazebo 4,5×3 da sistemare perché si è piegato con un colpo di vento.
L'ho pesato: è solo 14 kg, 7 kg meno del mio: sarà per quello che si è rivelato meno robusto?
🤔Consiglio pro: non basta che il colore sia lo stesso, se la lamiera dei profilati è meno spessa di quella dei barattoli del caffè (e di quello del discount!).

@GustavinoBevilacqua Se ne serve uno abbastanza definitivo.... della serie lo piazzo in giardino e per 20 anni lì ci sarà un gazebo.....tutto sommato è più conveniente trovare un bravo fabbro e farselo fare....

Sono gazebi per le feste, quindi si tengono montati per tre giorni l'anno e poi finiscono in qualche cantina.
Se a montare ci fossero persone più sveglie potrei anche passare e strutture reticolari in ferro da imbullonare (non è che serva né scienza né fisico alla Hulk), ma sono solo capaci a stare lì col telefono in mano a guardare cosa viene scritto su facebook.

@GustavinoBevilacqua vendono queste fregature adatte solo per brevi eventi estivi con bel tempo...ci vanno strutture robuste per resistere al maltempo

@hipsterelectron @fasterandworse my conclusion was that experiment was that it would be faster for me to simply prioritize my recovery and work slower on my projects here and there without the use of "ai" tools at all than it would have been to use them.

@hipsterelectron @fasterandworse and when I say it can't do my job, I know this to be true because I evaluated it myself. I have a neck injury, and I have side projects, and I was cautiously hopeful that if these tools worked the way they're marketed to, then I could maybe use them to make working on my side projects safer by reducing the time I spend on them. What I found instead is that these tools are complete garbage.

@hipsterelectron @fasterandworse in the long term, "ai" can't and will not be able to do my job, and no amount of hype or magical thinking on the part of the leisure class will ever change that, because we don't live in a consensus reality and magical thinking can't magick away the limitations of the technology. Meanwhile, there's been a steady stream of research showing that there's a rather large gap between the actual reality of the situation and what the "ai" peddlers are saying.

@hipsterelectron @fasterandworse honestly, as both an artist and a professional programmer, I don't feel particularly threatened by "ai". In my (i think measured, researched, carefully thought out) opinion we are already in the time of maximum danger as people-who-make-things, because the people-with-money-and-outsized-power-over-industry don't understand what "ai" can and can't do and are making bad decisions that can hurt us in the near term.
