@volpeon as someone who worked on a NOC (Network Operating Center) that sends out these updates: You want to make sure the customer knows you're working on it, even if you don't have updates, you have to carry over the message that you're really really working on it-- Also for other stakeholders who might pull out their funds if you don't :u
also loving that edit, honestly I would not be surprised if the NOC feels like that somewhere, they can only sit and poke the devops for updates

In their service contract they may have some sort of stipulations that they have to do updates every x amount of time. I had to do something similar when I worked for a business ISP except that I had to nearly handle everything alone, what a fucking nightmare
