Whelp we have a response from @frameworkcomputer and it’s extremely disappointing. Don’t buy Framework. They happily fund alt right bigoted groups and have no intention to change that. https://kolektiva.social/@Anarcat/115341841606988410

This is probably the fucking stupidest statement I’ve ever seen. You can’t build a brand on environmentalism and right-to-repair and then suddenly say you want to be “apolitical”. Your entire customer base was built on politics.

@danirabbit i think sadly it's really not uncommon for right-to-repair fans to be "apolitical" in this way, if louis rossmann and his audience is something to go by

@ineemio which is just incomprehensible to me because right-to-repair is so overtly and inherently anti-capitalist. Like how are you an eco socialist until it means solidarity with people of color, of which you are one. Like. What the actual fuck

@danirabbit The political overlap of environmentalism, right-to-repair, and racism is a real thing. Especially in the Western US, those all align with for example the militia movements. It's a shame to see Framework in that same overlap, but I suppose that's that

@danirabbit @ineemio ohh this isn't all to uncommon with neo-nazi parties, and I mean like the openly neo-fascist "we are nazis/fascist" ones. Like saving the environment, because it's part of your motherland and we have to save the holy and wonderful forests and all that jazz, not even denying climate change.
It was just pushed away by the more openly "there is no climate change" alt-right crowd.
The successors of the Germany Nazi party were always like this.

@karolherbst ah yeah. Okay. That’s gross but I get how that could be coming from a nationalist sentiment. Fuckin bleak out here isn’t it

@danirabbit there is also quite a big overlap in neo-nazi and esoteric groups 🙃 It was also an issue with the early Environmental movement in the US. Also this overpopulation thing and... well it's a massive topic 🙃
And well "blood and soil" kinda ties into this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_and_soil

Pookie and Wessie are staying with an amazing long-term sitter for a few months while I travel a bunch for work and to figure out where we are moving to.

Ma se nel 2035 finiamo tra le ultime 3 (oggi siamo quintultimi grazie all'Est Europa) veniamo retrocessi in Nord-Africa?
