I've thought before, a fun show for someone to do would be to get all these cloud-synced things and then show what happens if the wifi goes down. Can you still make toast if you unplug the modem? can you flush your toilet? can you turn off your bedroom lights? can you get out of your recliner?
(that last one is actually close to something I've had to worry about: my wife could be trapped in her motorized recliner if the power went out, so it's on a UPS just in case)

@foone At some point in the next couple of years I need to upgrade the living room to a 4K TV (for reasons of spousal harmony). And they're all running advertising spyware these days.
I need to go into shops and ask, "does it work, out of the box, if there's no internet? Because I refuse to have the damn thing in my cave."
Then ensure it's MAC-blocked by the router and only sucks data through an HDMI cable.

Ormai sono numerose le prove (riportate da ricerche, esperti ONU, da inchieste di media internazionali come Reuters, BBC, Associated Press, da ONG) che sottolineano con estrema chiarezza il sostegno diretto degli Emirati Arabi Uniti alle Rapid Support Forces (#RSF).
