I made it into minute six of the latest Tron film before I dipped. I have seen drying paint with more soul.
I love Tron. And I don't completely dislike Tron: Legacy. But yeah this one is not for me.

@afreytes In six *minutes*? How could *anything* be that bad?

@afreytes I straight up gave this one a pass. In my head cannon, this movie is part of some other franchse, not my beloved Tron. :)
I can't abide by Jared Leto, he's a creepy one.

@vivtek You know how every hero origin story has a "training the hero" montage? I'll get back to this.
There's a couple of minutes of bad, seemingly AI generated, news casters doing story exposition. Also some AI generated young Jeff Bridges.
Then the hero training thing, but get this, it's like the worst interpretation of what it is to train AI models using adversarial techniques. Where adversarial means actual enemies fighting the "hero" until he is literally invincible...
And then!

@vivtek I didn't know this but the "Hero" is called Master Control... As in, like a callback to the original movie.
It is my firm belief that any movie, and especially any Disney movie, where a previously villainous name, character, or entity is now the "hero" is just a bs cashgrab for men who think they are "badass"... and therefore not for me.
