They are child-like emotionally. It's not apparent from 10 ft. away, but trust me, they are. Men like that gravitate towards being dull workaholics because they are either empty emotionally, or very primitive. The go-go business life works for them because it is almost totally scripted (as in, governed by widely understood social conventions) & emotionally robotic & primitive. They are hollow, lopsided people.

M. Jackson's kids, Elon's kids. Brad Pitt's kids. The list is long.
The list of normal ones is very short.
The "better half" of such men is usually acquired by a highly transactional marriage.
Rich ugly middle aged men marrying stewardesses & models from eastern Europe. Or washed-up TV bimbos, who bring the social skills and graces into their lives & marriage
