I finally published the redesign of my website!
I wanted to wait to also have a new blog post ready, but it felt more important right now to just get the design of out the door.After many years of using pre-made templates that all looked very plain, I've finally made my own thing from scratch.
This means that for the first time I actually know about all of the little things that make up the website and I could give it personality.
It:
- has Color
- uses no Javascript
- has a little hidden animation
- is maintainable
- maintains compatibility with all old links
- is just plain more funI'm really happy with it and already have plans on what to add to it in the future

That is a little odd, and I'd think that is a violation of the implicit addressing conventions...
If as:Public is not addressed, it is not public. End of story...
Edit: oh, I loaded up the AP resource. to contains public, so that's ok.

Mastodon may expose followers-only posts to public. Is it a feature or a bug?
For example, this reply is addressed to the followers collection (to) and the mentioned user (cc):

But Mastodon says the reply is "public". Anyone can view it:

#Iceshrimp also doesn't require authorization, but you need to know the post ID to view it.

@adhdeanasl very true. OTOH, given his reaction, it does indicate that he did felt the pressure, which would suggest the path undertaken pushes in the right direction.
