In squirrel news, I put up new suet for the *birds* and some peanuts for the squirrels. Trying out this new suet cylinder, with super skinny wire for hanging it, nothing a squirrel can climb. Next time I check the squirrel is hanging upside down from pipe, inhaling suet. I go out and put a longer wire, no way to reach it now! It climbed down nearby feeder, stretched over to grab suet and pulled it over for breakfast. I check a half hour later and squirrel had pulled it down and carried it off to base of tree on other side of house. I retrieved it and put it on the wind spinner. Not that I think they can't get it, mostly to see if I can get some fun spinning squirrel photos.

@ai6yr @jerzone @czarbucks @lfisk I think you're losing focus on feeding the birds in favor of squirrel entertainment for humans.
Get one of these. I have one and its kept squirrels off my suet feeder for years now.

I still use AI as an agent when I know what I need to do looks like, and I don’t feel like typing boilerplate.
For completion, it’s too disruptive.

@grumpygamer It's technically another IDE suggestion, but VSCodium is the non-proprietary parts of VSCode (similar to running Chromium in lieu of Chrome). You can point it to the normal Microsoft marketplace trivially.
I think it would not have any of the A"I" features in it

@grumpygamer I've tried using Copilot with Python, as it's "encouraged" in my workplace, but as you've found, it keeps producing generic and boring code that is *almost* right but needs proof-reading.
Just for "fun" I asked it to produce some code to print out all primes from 0 to an input number. It made code that worked, but was slow. After I'd tweaked it, it ran about ten times faster for primes up to 10000. I don't think I'll keep using it somehow...
