@sean I think it's a really tough sell. The US economy makes up ~25% of the global GDP. We share a 9000 km land border. The Canadian economy has been oriented North-South since Confederation. We can grow exports with other countries, but it requires significant long-term infrastructure changes. Limping through the Trump era with whatever deals we can get, making up what we can with exports to other countries, and hoping for a better trading partner in the future seems like the only path.

@evan Agreed that it's tough.
If I thought we could actually get to a deal that would be honoured, I'd feel differently. I just don't think anyone can get there, at this point.

@sean I think you're right. Best plan is to hunker down, make do as best we can, and try to ride out the shitstorm.
