Anyway if you think Ireland's artist basic income was impressive with its $1 invested yielding $1.39 back to the economy at large wait til you do the back of the napkin math on clean air infrastructure, even just air filters in schools, and realize the return is orders of magnitude greater

Money spent on air filtration not disabling some kid permanently with long covid over their entire school career: $1

And that's just the math on that one kid not getting too disabled to work. That doesn't involve knock on effect of disease spread from said kid to other people in society like their parents, racking up sick days, lost productivity, and inevitably when enough covid damage stacks up, cost of healthcare

@eniko and we know masks in hospitals save money, even the more expensive n95s, for employee sick leave and secondary infections in patients, and yet they still won't do it. They'd rather lose money than admit there's a problem with a solution.
