    briankrebs@infosec.exchange this is what I absolutely love about the AP dev space. There's so much trust in other servers not reporting absolutely bogus numbers, that it's literally a surprise when someone does something like this... or that time I posted something with a timestamp one year in the future and had my post stuck at the top of "recent" in perpetuity. It reminds me of a simpler time when we trusted things sent via protocols because malicious users wouldn't abuse it... Pretty please! mcc@mastodon.social

    @maxoakland they were working within very tight constraints, I think it's amazing how much people have been able to wring out of the 64. And, I suspect one could come up with alternatives...I mean flipping bytes isn't computationally intensive, so you could do it yourself on the CPU, but I guess it'd need copies since the VIC is reading sprite memory directly, so you can't update it in place, at least not without glitches (I'm guessing, I have no idea what I'm talking about).
