(A more immediately relevant answer to the perennial "why is there something rather than nothing?")

@molly0xfff I hope capable and effective people have started Project Nuremberg in prep for that day of reckoning and justice.
@mdavis @molly0xfff #Nuremberg was a publicity joke of a farce.
<0.1% conviction rate and <1% conviction rate of identified "major war criminals" the rest got off with 0 consequences at all, often receiving money, property, jobs, or government positions. In America, the #fascists got REWARDED for war crimes.
We should not repeat Nuremberg.
We need to, MINIMUM, unilaterally sentence life in prison for a minimum for every ICE member without trial, and they can appeal the ruling after a period.
-
@Doitgood @molly0xfff lol makes sense that a fascist's profile is just covered in other men's genitals.
Fascists love to bend over and take it while they lick the boot. I'm surprised you can even stand up with such a lack of spine.
-
@molly0xfff also, it's only January and there's a disambiguation page for Minnesota ICE Shootings
@isaac @molly0xfff
I'm glad to hear it, at least I feel better about a monthly contribution to Wikimedia. -

@justenoughducks @molly0xfff Your frustration is understandable and emotionally relatable. But I would rather subject them to the very thing they are denying their victims: due process. In that way, we remain better than them. I look forward to those trials.

@mdavis @molly0xfff well then look forward to 99.9% of them walking free to terrorize, assault, and murder again because law enforcement has never once been collectively held accountable in the US. You can't convict a fascist when 20-30% of the jury is fascist and will refuse to convict even when they know they are guilty.
Tolerance of fascism breeds fascism. We have seen it over, & over, again in history. What you want is to subject our grandkids to the same fascism to feel morally superior.

@justenoughducks @molly0xfff I do? Tell me more about what I want.

None of these lists are exhaustive. None of these lists could be exhaustive. And that is a damnation in and of itself: that there are enough thoroughly-documented, air-tight incidents of each of these to have their own Wikipedia page, but that this isn't even a tenth of what's really there.
Wikipedia's editors are brave as hell and some of the heroes we desperately need.
@theogrin @molly0xfff I just want to say as well for anyone inspired by this: YOU too can edit Wikipedia! There is no special bravery required, it is many thousands of ordinary people around the world maintaining it, day after day. I do it and I enjoy it, it can be very fun!
Molly actually has a guide called "Become a Wikipedian in 30 Minutes" that is a fantastic entry point for anyone who is curious about editing, but intimidated by the process of getting started. It is available both in text and video form: https://blog.mollywhite.net/become-a-wikipedian-transcript/
I always see many people advocate for donating money to the Wikimedia foundation, but in my opinion what is even more valuable is contributing your time to be an editor. A high quality source of knowledge like this requires constant maintenance, and there are many articles which have not been maintained or looked at for a long time.
There are many types of small tasks you can do, to help with this maintenance. One of my favourite types of edits to do is to check the citations on pages, to ensure that the text actually reflects what the citations say. You would be surprised, on smaller less frequently edited pages, how often the text doesn't reflect what is cited!
There are a million small edits like that, and edit by edit, that's how Wikipedia is built. There are so many small edits one can do, but because of how widely read Wikipedia is, even small edits make a huge impact.

@molly0xfff ME (25 years ago): Wikipedia sounds a little sketchy. Best to go with traditional media sources.

This is part of why I consider my volunteer editing on #Wikipedia to be the most important job of my life. An accurate record of the atrocities of this administration must be preserved.
