i’m trying to understand certain european perspective stuff. A few different people have stated that the don’t use credit/.”debit cards or paypal at all. is this like a normal-ish thing or something that they are doing intentionally?

@timmy they've got a functional banking system, they don't need rentseeking middlemen in order to use their money.

@timmy but, they do use debit cards. So maybe we're talking about different things. They've had standardized wire transfers via SWIFT for many years, which is cheaper and easier than wire transfers were in the US until very recently.
