Morning.

This art is much better than the news 👍🏻👍🏻
@forestfjord Heh, thank you 😊

Morning. Not sure what's going on here. Haven't been out to get out with the camera much recently due to weather, so have been stuck starting from a blank page. Also been reading the news. Might need to get some filters in place for a while again. Aye. Might be an idea.
@eclectech filters are awesome!

@eclectech Yeah, filters definitely help. Your art is fun and happy making.

For serious, how do I set up filters to replace the news with your art? Doesn't even have to be new art (though that's very welcome), can just cycle through your favourite silly hats and dance parties and etc etc etc

@SnowyCA They are. Mine tend to be in a constant state of flux, but I definitely need to go hard again atm!

@hag Yep, should definitely make a difference. Did this pic last night but a browse of my timeline sapped everything from me & I didn't post anything.
And aw, thank you 😊 -

@eclectech this makes me want to run out into the woods right now and make music for the trees....

@eclectech @purplepadma My trump filter is called 'No farts'. Apparently to trump is to fart in the dialect of my mom's youth!

@eclectech I am the same, they vary according to my mood. Lately I've been feeling bombarded by too many from you know where, so my filters are set to toss most into the bin.

Forest behind my house is nearly all spruce plantation - basically the equivalent of battery farming. Those trees deserve to hear music more than most!

@forestfjord Oooh, I don't think there's a way to just replace one thing with another, but that would be nice!
(an emergency click on the #sillyScribbles hashtag should always be available though 😁 )

@jbenjamint Do it!
Oh, that is a good description of a spruce plantation. We're lucky that the woods near us are quite varied, but we have some hillsides with the regimented rows in the vicinity too. -

@GinevraCat @purplepadma Hah! Yes. Trump definitely means fart. Depressing that someone can behave so abhorrently that such an entertaining fact fades into the background. For years his name would just lead to a giggle.

@SnowyCA Aye. I tend to just collapse them (otherwise I stress that I'm missing something important), but I have learnt the art of not opening them unless I'm in the right frame of mind for it.

Done, my day is already better

It's a classic!In my brain this is in the department "Silhouette animation", together with Phill Mulloy, Lotte Reiniger, and Eric van Schaaick: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BHMYoBG8nHQ

@eclectech It took me a while to learn to do the same, but it's helpful, I feel better doing so.
I really can't handle *repeatedly* reading the exact same news article *and* the accompanying outraged comments --one read of the news per day is more than enough. -

And pretty much everyone I follow that is posting them is someone I want to carry on following, because the people getting angry and concerned about what's going on are very much "my people", but the cumulative effect is overwhelming.
Have just gone through and switched a couple of my occasional filters back on and there is an immediate improvement!
