The rainforest is a very special classroom for both #ethnobiologists and local people. Field studies involving researchers and villagers allow the comparison of local knowledge and scientific knowledge, as here in the measurement of DBH (diameter at breast height), a standard measure of tree trunks, carried out by a #Baka villager and a biologist from the University of Yaoundé.

We're almost sold out of enamel pins, so I'm thinking about what we could do next. @Ameboid and I brainstormed some slogans that we think might fit on a pin. Just testing the waters here.

@xgranade @mcc the original Electronika 60 it was written on was a PDP-11 clone with 16-bit CPU and 8k of RAM. Which isn't all that far off from the power of a Gameboy (8-bit CPU with 8K of RAM, though no floating point, I would assume). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elektronika_60
