@FionaCraig@HighlandLawyer@cstross@mxchara Presumably the calculus of sin allows you to solve the differential equation describing the R-C circuit in the Church, and determine that it's all sin (or cos, with a phase offset).
@cstross@bassthang@mxchara on further thinking, the notion of "Generalized Coordinates" from Classical Mechanics seems perfectly applicable to developing a mathematics of Classical Evil using Generalized Sins.
Hm, I wonder if Lev Landau is in the Good Place or the Bad Place? Whichever one, I'm sure Lifschitz is there with him else nobody else could understand anything he says.
@cstross@mxchara Is the RC Church correct that forming the intent to commit a sinful act is itself a separate sin from the subsequent act? Though in that case there's presumably a by reference value combined with vector variables for any variation from the original.
Again a nice model today, called Hexagon Double Bar Wells. It has hexagon twists in one side and open triangle twists on the other side. I lacked a little bit of precision for the hexagon twists, as can be seen by the size of the dots inside them on the backlighting view... The close placement of these patterns created some tricky interactions. I can feel the difficulty ramp up already! 😅5/25#AdventOfTess #tessellation #origami
