This blogpost makes an astoundingly good case about LLMs I hadn't considered before. The collapse of public forums (like Stack Overflow) for programming answers coincides directly with the rise of programmers asking for answers from chatbots *directly*. Those debugging sessions become part of a training set that now *only private LLM corporations have access to*. This is something that "open models" seemingly can't easily fight. https://michiel.buddingh.eu/enclosure-feedback-loop
@lritter in this case it was a bad decision made under pressure that I had already refactored out a year prior, I just missed a spot. i like to think i've been able to code most programmers under the table for quite a long time now, but that's not really all that hard a bar to clear tbh.
@inthehands Will Homan really be much of a difference? I only reason Bovino was sacked, I fear: I produced way too many "unfortunate" pictures. His terror was total in line with the regime's doctrine.
@aethernaut «entire deck short of a deck» is my new favorite expression. Also loving this guy, whereby «loving» I mean «hope Simane managed to throw HIM in». Which is going to be with t much more than 50 headless clones, incidentally, I'd wager.
Today is #WIPWednesday and I’m sharing an illustration I started over a year ago. My illustrations are like good cheese, the longer they wait in the shelf, the smellier and better they become 🤌 Or I just forget about them 😑#art #Illustration #Wip #WorkInProgress #artist #DigitalArt
