I tossed in a can of black beans (because what else will I do with black beans) to the bean soup.

I tossed in a can of black beans (because what else will I do with black beans) to the bean soup. Added thyme to the rice because honestly it feels like it belongs there rather than with the soup.
Honestly this is looking good. And the broth tastes divine, too.

People laugh at me because "lol you cook with a timer but season on vibes" but that's more "I cook with a timer to check on it, not to determine doneness." Using a timer to determine when it's done is a sin. It should be used to determine when you should stir it, more or less, and to determine when to check on it to see if it's done yet or how much more time it needs.
